Gender Reveal Baby Shower

Have you heard of a gender-reveal baby shower? They are all the rage at baby showers across the country! The couple (who may or may not choose to find out with the guests) gives an envelope to the baker revealing the sex of the baby. We bake the cupcakes in either blue or pink (in solid cups that don't reveal cake color) and VOILA! At the party, when the guests bite into their cupcakes, the sex is revealed!

Oreo Cupcakes!

Making Oreo cupcakes is SO easy and elegant. Just create your cupcake (I just used a French vanilla cake batter) and mix in some crumbled Oreos into some buttercream frosting. The buttercream REALLY goes well with this combination to complete the "cookies and CREAM" portion! Crumble more Oreos onto the top (the more, the better) and VOILA! An AMAZING CUPCAKE that young and old will love! The next time I create this cupcake, I will bake the cake with Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate chips... YUM YUM!!!!!

Elegant Cupcake!

Take a look at this FANTASTIC cupcake I made SO easily and quickly! The cake is simply French vanilla, and the frosting is a mix of chocolate and buttercream. I used a Wilton 1M tip, placed the chocolate in one side of the bag, and the buttercream in the other side of the bag. The result - a fabulous, bakery style cupcake that your family and friends will love!

Celebrating All Things PINK!

Look at these GORGEOUS cupcakes I made last night... and it took virtually NO time AT ALL! All of these designs were done with a #16 Wilton tip. Isn't it amazing how versatile some tips are? I love it! You can make large or small flowers, wavy lines, and so many other designs! These are simple, but they do the trick!

The large carnation-like flowers were SO easy... Just hold the tip at a 45 degree angle and press the bag until your flower is as big as you desire. Make sure you DON'T bring the tip up while still pressing out your buttercream. Finish your design while still pressing the tip into the flower, and then just raise the tip away from the design! How glorious!
